All the Streets are beginning to Look the Same
These photographs by Jennifer O'Brien comment on the vast amount of development currently occurring in the city of Sydney. The resulting effect is that streets are losing their culture, history, vegetation and unique character. Buildings are beginning to create vast shadow canyons, buildings are becoming ‘Little boxes made of ticky tacky, and little boxes all the same’ (Malvina Reynolds 1962)
